GreenStart and GreenPlus funding: Enterprise Ireland, Industrial Development Authority, LEO and Udaras Na Gaeltacht

GreenStart and GreenPlus funding is available to clients of Enterprise Ireland and Industrial Development Authority.  The funding programmes are available to enable businesses to improve their performance using environmental management to either save costs, increase value or grow sales.

GreenStart & GreenPlus

  • An environmental management structure can help your company achieve competitive advantage through greater resource efficiency (energy/water/waste/wastewater) and greater market share through enhanced verifiable environmental credentials.

GreenStart and GreenPlus are not just for manufacturing companies.  Agribusiness, software and internationally traded services companies can also avail of funding to learn about and implement environmental improvements to their business.

Companies can apply for grant support towards the cost an assignment which will introduce best practice systems and structures, achieve cost reduction targets and lay a foundation for future environmental improvement projects.

  • Assignments will typically be carried out over 8 to 10 weeks.
  • The typical cost of undertaking a GreenStart assignment is up to €6,300.
  • The funding body will provide up to 80% grant funding for the GreenStart project.

There are no call close dates and as such applications can be made at any time of the year to suit the needs and priorities of the applicants business.
